Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic Operations team. This role will be pivotal in managing our financial records, delivering strategic financial insights to support our growth, and ensuring adherence with internal governance and regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Financial Control and Reporting:
i. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements,
ii. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards, and
iii. Liaise with professional firms to support financial audit and tax filing.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts and monitor actual performance against budget.
- Strategic Financial Insights: Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions, cost optimization, and growth initiatives.
- Corporate Governance: Build internal controls and performance measurement to mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Process Re-engineering: Manage and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various financial initiatives and projects.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic knowledge of financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Power BI skills are preferred.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
